Rescue Dogs 101 Training Education

Do you have visions of a perfect dog? A dog that always come when called, doesn't pull on the leash, gets along with dogs, kids and people.

I hate to break it to you, but there are no "perfect" dogs... but there are dogs that are perfect for our family.

It’s your job, as your dogs mom or dad, to train your dog to understand what you expect of them.

Don’t think for a moment that you can adopt a dog, walk through your front door and have them be perfectly adjusted and well behaved.

We as dog owners have the responsibility to train our dogs to understand right from wrong, what SIT, DOWN, STAY and COME mean.

Each dog will have a unique personality, just like people, and therefore there is no one training technique that is perfect for all dogs. Be open to all training techniques and tools.

My goal is to educate new dog owners and stop dogs from being returned to shelters.

Below are a series of dog training resources for you and your dog to become the best you can be.

If you need even more detailed and personalized dog training help, I highly recommend Spirit Dog Training.
