How Rescue Dogs 101 Started

Hi, I’m Debi McKee, a lifelong dog lover, foster mom, and creator of Rescue Dogs 101.

The heart behind this site? A sweet, spirited pup named Ginger. We fostered her when she was just six months old, and quickly learned she came with a suitcase full of challenges... allergies, resource guarding, anxiety, and a lot of fear.

Helping Ginger transform inspired me to dive deep into training, behavior, and holistic dog care.

Since 2014, I’ve fostered numerous dogs, volunteered with rescues and humane societies, and assisted thousands of dog parents in navigating the joys and challenges of adoption.
